What does the Learning on Country Program mean to your community?

LoC brings our community together. Elders, young people and community agencies are happy that students undertake and enjoy two-way learning with an emphasis on cultural, environmental and practical learning that is connected to country.

Caring for Country and VET, as well as a strong focus on learning about country and culture

Tell us about the Rangers supporting the LoC Program. What lessons are they teaching the students about your country?

We have developed a strong relationship with the Numburindi Rangers and the students hold the Rangers in high esteem. Rangers teach and mentor the students on how to be positive community members, showcasing culture and a caring for their community.

What future training or work opportunities are available in your community for LoC students?

We are looking at possible future Ranger cadetships with the Rangers.

What is something you are most proud of about LoC in your community?

The students constantly asking when the next LoC class is and always looking forward to it!
